Lifters

Skanveir's production range includes both vacuum and magnetic lifters used for lifting and transferring wide variety of materials. The choice between different gripping techniques is based on the following principles:

Magnetic lifter is applicable when:

• ferromagnetic steel is lifted
• several pieces are simultaneously lifted from a stack
• it is not necessary to lift thin (< 3 mm) sheets separately from the stack.

Vacuum lifter is applicable when:

• ferromagnetic steel or non-ferromagnetic material, such as stainless steel, coloured metals, wood, plastic, glass is lifted
• one single piece is lifted from the stack
• scratches and marks on the surface must be avoided
• the surface being lifted is free from snow and ice

Transfer systems

Skanveir transfer systems are used in transferring panels, boards, beams, elements and piece goods between two or more points. Vacuum technology is mainly utilised in gripping.
